on the first few days of christmas...

OK, I know I promised more posts after finals. (Finals are over, BTW ... hallelujah!). Problem is, I haven't done a whole lot. I'm five days into (MY LAST EVER!!!) Christmas break, and so far I have accomplished the following:

- watched the Lifetime and Hallmark Christmas movies saved up on my DVR (this was a lot. My favorite had to be the 12 Men of Christmas...I have very good taste in movies.)
- cheered on UK in multiple basketball games, and fallen in love with Demarcus Cousins
(how could you not love a player who bought SIX of these hats for some unknown reason and wore one to the post-game press conference? Photo from intentionalfoul.com.)

- finished Christmas shopping
- made ornaments to give with all my presents (I made 9 jockey silks ornaments for a total of about $7...as opposed to buying them for $24. Plus, not that I'm biased or anything, mine are cuter. I would post pictures but alas, just don't have the energy to find my camera cord.)
- slept
- gone to an ugly sweater party -- at which Evan and I were two of the only people to actually WEAR ugly sweaters -- what is wrong with this world?
- finished 24 season 5 on DVD
- watched the fire on my ambient HD on demand (seriously...I don't have a fireplace!)
- ummm...that's pretty much it. I LOVE BREAK.

I have yet to:
- drink eggnog
- sit in front of an actual fire
- wrap presents

I have sworn off the alarm clock and wake up at extremely late hours, then sit around, usually in my pjs, until I have to leave the house to go shopping. I'm going to sink into a serious depression come January 11 when it's back to school!

OK, back to my Wednesday: sitting in my pjs with Mabel, watching the UK game and mustering up the energy to wrap my Christmas presents. Wish me luck :)

i am alive ... barely

Readers (are there any of you left? Doubtful...): Here I am! Tarryn is still alive too, I promise -- I just talked to her. However, we are quite busy. I've got one more week of finals (they are so kind in law school to split your finals over two weeks -- double the study time and double the misery. Thanks.), and she's trying to pack and find jeans before leaving for jolly old (MERRY old, since it's Christmastime) England, so we have fallen sadly behind on our blogging. However, I have made a pre-new-year's resolution to stop by the old blog more in the new year.

So, to get started on that, may I introduce...MABEL, my new kitty:

omg, she loves shoes.
This is how she and I feel right now -- grouchy. That will change come Thursday...see you then :)
