Sunday: Beach & Pool

(The perfect screensaver pic was on for the beach - I used the Kate Spade iphone backgrounds for my nook's screensaver)

I finally went to the beach - thank goodness- as I've only been 3 times so far this year because I've been lazy and hung out in the pool instead!! It was the perfect temperature in the gulf and I even saw some dolphins...
(I don't know why this pic came out so dark??)
I would have stayed longer but an obnoxious group of two family's plopped down in between all of the "single" beach goers and the one family's screaming child jumping over me finally irked me enough that I left - where as I'm gathering my stuff they came over to me and said "since your going we are taking your spot..." I'm thinking of some very unpleasant words so I just smiled. I guess they were too lazy to go an extra 1 min walk to the wide open area where their child could have screamed "I FOUND ANOTHER HERMIT CRAB" ten times and not have pissed off about ten people obviously not there with children... Grrrrr...Don't get me wrong I don't mind kids at the beach and am often jealous of their sweet beach toys (I need an excuse to build a sandcastle) they are there to play and have fun and are always entertaining but when a child is literally jumping over a stranger's body splashing water from a bucket on to that person and the parents don't say something to the kid as they watch him do it- that's when I get pissed off - especially when there was a large area for him to walk to his parents around me without stepping on my stuff and over my body while he thought it was funny... not cool... This happens about once a year where an obnoxious group of beach goers sits by you and puts a damper on your day at the beach... At least mine is out of the way for this year! I may sound a bit snotty but seriously you don't jump over people for fun that you don't know... I'd understand (maybe) if the beach was packed but it was not - there were a ton of places near the water they just got lazy and wanted my spot and I guess figured their kid would piss me off enough to make me leave - it worked... So I went and picked up a SunniBunni for my dad and myself and went home to hang out by the pool with him. It was scrumptious!!
(When the group came an hour after I took this pic there were only two family's between my spot and that umbrella - why did they have to sit behind me??)
(My shadow looks funny...)
(Using my new beach mat I found at Marshalls I love it! Kid was jumping over me while I was face up laying there...)
(Yummy!!)
I'm sad as I have not talked to Allison all weekend - I think she may be camping?? I got a voicemail saying something about camping so I'm guessing she will call when she is back... maybe I should call as I don't think Allison camps...
